Harvesting corn below 15% moisture may be challenging as corn harvest begins progressing again this season. However, with correct environmental conditions, dry down rates can range from .25 to as much as 1% per day (depending on weather, hybrid, and ear characteristics).

Colorado Wheat Growers Scholarship

The Colorado Association of Wheat Growers (CAWG) will award a $1,000 scholarship to a Colorado high school senior. The applicant’s parent, grandparent, or legal guardian must be a current or new member of CAWG OR the applicant must be nominated by a current sponsor of CAWG.

Grain Storage and Airflow

Producers store grain on the farm following harvest for a number of reasons. Many find it more convenient to store their production until the press of harvest is past when they will have more time to haul the grain to market and avoid long lines at the elevator.
